Job Title: Locksmith Technician
Reports To: General Manager or Franchise Owner
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Locksmith & Security Specialist Technician position is an integral part of FlyLock Security Solutions - Northern Colorado and is key to the growth of the company. All Locksmiths & Security Specialist Technicians must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Locksmiths & Security Specialist Technician position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset and is also able and willing to interact with customers to develop customer relationships including the generation and closing of Client/Customer leads for physical security solutions.

The Locksmiths & Security Specialist Technician position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset and is also able and willing to interact with customers to develop customer relationships including the generation and closing of Client/Customer leads for physical security solutions.
The responsibilities of a FlyLock Locksmith & Security Specialist Technician consist of the following:
- Performing technical work on the field or ‘in the shop/office’ on behalf of FlyLock and its Clients/Customers.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining Commercial and Residential Door and Lock hardware. Especially, including the following:
- Modifying hardware for locks.
- Creating and maintaining master key systems.
- Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pinning of locks.
- Cutting keys by code.
- Installing, repairing and maintaining all aspects of Door and Frame Hardware.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining Access Control Hardware & Software
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining CCTV Hardware & Software.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining Commercial and Residential Door and Lock hardware. Especially, including the following:
- Mastering the systems behind the brands that FlyLock partners with and acts as a dealer for.
- Building Client/Customer relationships for physical security solutions on behalf of FlyLock.
- Mastering the use & maintenance of the equipment, software and systems necessary to perform job responsibilities
- Performing emergency work orders, after hours, for FlyLock’s Clients/Customers (commercial clients only).
Operations Support:
- Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
- Perform small projects as directed by Management.
- Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Good relationship-building skills with a diverse population including all customers’ partners, technicians, and all other company employees.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple functions at the same time.
- Good organizational skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
- Able to work safely on ladders.
- Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
- Provide a high level of timely & accurate customer service.
- Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.
- Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop.
- Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
- Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
- Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
Compensation: $22.50 - $35.00 per hour
